Hi Everyone,
I would be visiting India in March and would be staying primarily in Visakhapatanam and Hyderabad (AP). I was wondering whether there are any good place for Photographing in the nearby region. Also, I've 100-400mm lens and was wondering would that be enough as most of the pictures that I've seen from India are taken with a minimum of 600-800mm.
I would appreciate your advice.

Thanks,
Nagesh Mula

Nagesh,
Saw it late. Probably you would be in India now. Kolleru Lake is a good place in AP. You can go from hyderabad. From vizag you can go to Telineelapuram towards orissa. Your 100-400 lens would be adequate here. Have shot some pelicans full frame even in wideangle there.

You can come to Nelapattu, but march is towards the *** end and you wont find Flamingoes. 400mm on a 1.6 crop body would give you good landing and takeoff shots of Pelicans.

Let us know how was the trip.

Cheers,
Sabyasachi
