Haven't found any cooperative birds to photograph recently, so I dug up this one from last fall. Any C&C are welcome!

Very nice composition and image Christopher...I like the sharp details, head angle and eye contact...the color rendition is dead on...my only suggestion would be to desaturate the multi colored background and blur it just a tad more, so it doesn't grab all of the attention from your beautiful bird...

Hi Christopher, can't add too much more than what Gus has said. The only thing I might do is great rid of the branch in the LRC. Lovely image. Like the red dots in the BG echoing the colours of the cardinal.

Very nice Christopher. I love the colors in the background and the detail on the bird. My eye kept wandering to the LRC, so I wondered what it would look like with less branches. Did Q&D clone job, I'm sure you can do better. Hope you like it...

What I love about this forum is the advice we get that helps us make the best of our work...and your Cardinal is an excellent example. A good image made even better with a few helpful suggestions.

Agree with Katie and really think the NR on the BG sets it off
