Elephant mudbathing, Amboseli, Kenya. I kept the other elephants in the background to show more of the environment. Too distracting?

Canon 5D, 1/640, f/6.3, 100-400 mm at 250 mm.

No Cindy, they are not distracting. This is a lovely image.

I think the cattle egret half hidden behind the elephant should be removed via Robert O'Toole's APTATS techniques. That might also be true of the foreground, OOF egret.
Otherwise, with a little curves and selective color to add density to the image, and possibly local contrast enhancement, you could make this image really pop.

Really like this image Cindy... The other species shown really make it for me. Fine compostion and you caught some action My eye visits all the different species trying to ID. You could take out the 2 white egrets, no idea wihat the APATS David mentions is but I like the image just fine as captured....

APTATS is the instructional info. put forth by Robert O'Toole and sold by Arthur Morris. You can read more here (http://www.birdsasart.com/aptats.htm).

Looks like it might be worth the price of admission. I could really use some help with PS. I tend to avoid it like the plague....
