Take at Ft. Desoto last evening about 5:50. The turnstone was in a group of dowitchers. Liked the light.

Hi So do I !! Soft warm light, good low angle and pose !!! If anything would take a little more of the bottom I like it a lot !!!!

Very nice, Allen. I like the beautiful soft light, the pose, and the low angle leading to the clean fore- and backgrounds. An ISO of 400 along with a higher f-stop would have given you more DOF on the back half of the bird. Still, it works quite well as presented.

I agree with both suggestions. I cropped a bit off the bottom (won't bother posting.)
The reason I used a faster shutter speed was because the bird was moving around a lot. If I knew if would stand still I would have gone with a slower speed. If I had thought as I shot, I would have changed the dials - both shutter speed down and smaller f-stop and still been able to shoot at iso 200.

Beautiful capture in gorgeous warm lighting and I like the pose you captured in this image. Your exposure was excellent as well as good detail. Thanks for sharing this lovely image.
