The head position and eye contact makes this a very striking image

800mm, hand held!! Great shot. All of the esential elements of a good image are there. The lower portion of the frame, where the color bleed into each other, is a little distracting. Maybe a layer and some further bluring, or use the patch tool and bring the tones from the upper BG into the lower area, and then blend.
Excellent on the bird. :-)

Fantastic image. I am impressed with the sharpness considering you handheld a 800 mm lens. Congratulations,
Roberto

This is a good result considering the "800 mm handheld" mode...no need for a workout after that. Eye contact is great and the BG is nice too. I really like to see the hole back of the bird. Great work ;)

Lovely light, posture and great eye contact. Personally I would soften the line of the horizon.

I'm glad to see you posting over here, Mao. Great eye contact on this shot. I'd agree about smoothing out the BG transition.
