First off - I cloned out up the uprights of the TV aerial at the blue connection right and cable tie left.
Have never been able to catch this bird even remotely in the open so I'm CHUFFED!

Hi Jeni,
I like your composition, image and capture...the color rendition is very good...the head angle and sharp eye contact is right on the money...congrats. I like the details in the feathers and head area. Your subject is placed just right in frame. The tri colored background compliments your subject very well...my only suggestion, personal taste, would be to clone out the blue square on the aerial to the right, and the black flange on the left; making it one solid even color with no interruptions in the linear flow...:cool:well done, looking forward to your next one...:)

Ditto w Gus's comments Jeni. Two other suggestions, maybe a bit more room for the tail and open up the darks on the chest /wing area with curves??? Just ctrl /right click( I think } and make a point on the chart and drag it up a bit on the line. Sharpening looks good.

Hi Jeni,
I agree, what an interesting bird. I think I prefer the detail in the blacks in the first post.
