Late afternoon in Anhinga Trail, ENP, the water glows gold from the reflection of the dry bushes, showcasing the floating natives.

This is a much more interesting shot than I took at Wako. I love the bg colors.
There seems to be a lot to see down there:D

Sure does look familiar! ;) Amazing water colors to go with the blue shadowed gator. Awesome work!

This is a really lovely example of how the blue balance in the shadowed components of an image can create a striking contrast with the warm tones of a warmly-illuminated background and its reflection. The fill flash brought up subject detail while maintaining the cool color temperature.

Lovely water and diagonal lines here Fabs! I really like this one, but it is unfortunate that you've clipped the tail.

It's interesting that you have the same effect that I was noticing when Dad and I visited the Everglades last winter: the alligator "turns blue" with reflections like that. I thought then--and I think I still do--that it was unsettling. Even though that's how the colors fall into place on their own. I'd call it a personal issue with me, rather than a problem with the image! :)
