So I went yesterday to the public park, with my Nikkor 80-400 VR, trying to catch a bird. But I saw this spider, and very fast I mounted my 500D filter and was able to shot this before she definitly killed and stored the fly. I have used Capture NX to dark a little the background and process. Thoughts?

Well that is one unusual photo you have there, Jose! It took me awhile to figure out that it is the web in front of the eye of the fly and not part of its wing. I think I'd try cloning the web out there so the eye is clear.

It's very odd how some of the front legs almost seem transparent on the spider. Although I do wish more of the web on the right side were more in focus I do think this is an interesting image. I think it would post even better over in the OOTB forum where we really like weird effects like this one has!

Thanks Julie. I think I agree about the the web and the eye. I´ll fix this on next versions.
The lighting is weird, because I have made a 180º rotation in the pic :-)

Okay...that explains it...I kept feeling like something was just not quite right and now I know! Whew! I thought I was losing it!
