Hi Ron Agree with you on the aperture !!! Every extra bit of shutter speed helps !! It is sharp enough to be very pleasing. A complete green bg would have been better or at least moving stripe right if you were able. btw cropping tighter on the bottom to have only the one branch is an option !!!

Great setting, soft light and eye contact. I might consider cloning out the OOF branch in the BG.

Neat little bulldog of a bird. Ron, are you talking about more d-o-f or simply a sharper image. If the latter, what do you think caused the unsharpness? Could use a it of a head turn (which may in turn increased the apparent sharpness by bringing the head onto the same plane as the rest of the bird).

Agree with Al, re copping from below a little. Stripe in BG is distracting - colour suits the image but the abrupt transitions catch the eye. f4 would have given you 1/250 but less DOF so would have only helped motion blur. Did the histogram indicate -1/3 was necessary?

Thanks a lot for your help and advice!
I agree with everything...

@ Tony : The white feathers on the birds' head are already burned that's why I underexposed..:)
