same bird, different position . . can't get enough of this bird! Especially at eye level.

The bird is well exposed, well lit, and has a great pose and head angle. The yellow eyes and beak really grab my eyes! IMO, the branches to the right are somewhat distracting. Otherwise, I like it a lot.

Hi Jeff,

Lovely details and eye contact. I would clone out the stick in the lower right, behind the tail.

Fantastic work you've done on this little beauty, Jeff. I agree regarding the oof sticks, only because they draw a bit of attention away from the owl.

I think I would also clone the OOF branches, but leave the rest. The owl is absolutely stunning! :)

I do not fully agree with cloning suggestions and wish bird photographers will move beyond the sterile background as the only successful presentation. I photographed this owl in a tree with branches, not a photo studio!
