Backyard feeder set-up + blind. When searching for perches for my "Project: Siskins" I came across this bonus dried mullein. Out came the pruners! :) What I like about this perch is that the finches also feed on the seeds found within so they hang onto it longer.
Canon 40D + 100-400L @400mm, aperture priority, evaluative metering, 1/250s., f/6.3, ISO 640, +1 EC, natural light, handheld, about 80% full-frame.

Very cool Daniel. I like the room you left in front as the bird looks like it is getting ready to bolt and that room accentuates that feeling.

I love this picture taken under the snowfall without artificial lights.

Really beautiful shot Daniel.
I agree with Alfred, the snow really makes the shot.

Hi Daniel, I like the overall composition, colours and your perch works well. I think that the Pine Siskin looks overall on the soft side and wondering if that's the result of the 100-400 at the long end? Also, I see some type of vertical line/straight shadow towards the bottom right corner (slightly away from the corner), and am wondering if the round globes, especially the larger one on the right side are snow?
