Hi Guy, great action shot, terrific light, pose, detail, exposure and comp, I would only try lightening the right eye and also I would be tempted to remove the shadow. But this is one outstanding image! Congratulaitons!

This is tremendous! I wish I had a an opportunity for such a shot here in northern NY. But our wintering snowys like to sit on barn roofs and utility poles.

Very nice and unusually close view :)
Fine details all around.

You are pretty quick, it only took you 14 minutes from making this image to posting? That must be a record. :)
Great advice already, I would clone out the specular highlights in the snow. Details, head-on pose and exposure control are great. Maybe a little bit CCW rotation to level the eyes? I'm assuming he was going after bait?

I was surprised to see that was taken at 400mm. He must have been extremely close!
Great shot! And you took advantage of it. I don't have any suggestions for improvement other than what has been mentioned. The left side of his tail feathers stick up, creating a distracting line right next to his left wing. Was he getting ready to turn?

Outstanding image! I have no knowledge of the species and am so impressed by everybody's wonderful Snowies. I wonder how you can get so close and have it fly just at the right angle. Is there a trick like using hides and baits? This is awesome!

I agree with Axel on specular highlights. The rest shows a sweet image of a very handsome subject.

Stunning Guy, agree to clone out specular highlight and lighten owl's left eye.
