Found this Great Blue Heron out at Anhinga Trail in the Everglades National Park with Philip Pietri. We ran into Daniel Cedras (gigo) and many of the members of the Kendall camera club.

Many of them were already on this subject and they were nice enough to let me sneak behind them and make a few images :)

Shooting Solution

Manual Exposure | 1/5000 @ f/5.6 | ISO 400 | Gitzo 1440 and the Mongoose M2.3

All comments welcome and appreciated.

Thanks for looking :)

Awesome work. The color / gradation looks great on my monitor and the bird is sharp. I like the random vegetation in addition to the perch at the bottom. You should do silhouettes more often!

Awesome colors. I love such images like this.
The pose is very peaceful and the right side of the trunk provides a nice balance for the image.

Love the colors and SH and the raised crest and the breeding feathers. Not sure why but I love the spiked branch in front of the bird.

Was this with AWB?

Nope, I fogot to mention that this was made using a custom WB of 10000 degrees kelvin.

A trick somebody told somebody else who told me. I'm not certain of the order ;)
