Had good luck with the godwits on the beach this morning. I hope the BG isn't to distracting.
50D, 100-400 at 400
1/1600, f/5.6, ISO 320
Small crop for composition.

I like the walking pose and wave and would sharpen a bit more and increase contrast a few points.

I like the stepping action and the white wash wave hitting the Godwit I think you should darken the midtones and give this nice shot a touch more sharpening....

Agree with the above comments, but I wolud only give some more USM to the bird and not to the water, I also agree about darkening the mistones a bit. Congratulatons on a very nice shot with great action.

Like the wave and the raised foot. As noted several times above, the mid-tones need to be darker.

Its a classic shorebird photo taken in its element. I agree with the sharpening comment.
