Thought it might be time to post something else instead of a Snowy Owl.

I like the scene in this one. It appears to be rather noisy. I would like to see the bird looking in the frame and I would sharpen it some more unless this is a big crop.

It is quite a big crop and agree about the noise.

Nice foliage and snow to accentuate the colours of the bird. Agree re noise related to crop and sharpening - may be best to mask the sharpening to the subject only. Agree comp with bird looking into frame would be nicer. The frame and drop shadow is a bit prominent IMO.

Pretty colorful for a snowy owl. :) I like the setting, pose, details and snow and would put the bird further to the right in the frame.

You did well in relatively bright light. I will go 100% (but respectfully) against the flow here and state that I like the COMP as is with the bird looking out of the frame. Why? The bird's position and gaze balance perfectly with the lovely angled pine bough on our right. If anything, I would have liked lots more room on the right, enough to see that whole pine frond. The noise is reason enough to get a 50D.
