High Jeff, rather nice shot, is this the largest size that you can post here and did you really need the 2X to get close enough to him? Also the perch looks really big in proportion to the NHW, almost making the owl look smaller than it is.

I like the angle, details and inquisitive pose. The bird is a bit centered for my taste. Could you post the complete specs?

I like the simple comp and the stare - especially because it is not looking down the lens barrel, but at something else in its environment. The perch size doesn't bother me and I think a more-or-less centered comp works well here. It may be an optical illusion, but I wonder if a CW rotation would help? Well done.

Lovely bird. I am not a huge fan of the composition though; maybe move it more to the left...
Also the darker top of the perch makes me look down to it's feet but those eyes are intense
