Did this awhile back....
Started with a blank canvas
Went to Automate and from a skull I shot made multiples of it. Put a beige color over it and faded color.
I then put the larger skull in the center and cloned out some overlaps so it was balanced.
I then vignetted the perimeter and added a border.
Something a bit different....

Dave, I have an image I'd like to try this on, thankyou for the step-by-step. I like the main skull it is very interesting, I also like the tones you chose for the smaller ones. The border is a nice touch.

I'm going to have to come back and comment on this later, Dave. Tonight I removed half a dead squirrel skull from my dog's mouth and this image isn't helping my memory of that fine moment!

Jules with squirrel week coming up that is a bad thing !!!!!! :D

Love it Might only try a more unconventional irregular looking frame .. and lighter in color !!

Very nice mosaic and great feel of the West. Agree on changing the frame :)
