Hi Kathy,
I like the landing and all the commotion going on...:D The image is a bit tight in frame all the way around. suggest on adding more space to give him more flapping room...the image is under exposed especially in the water and portions of the under wing...the face, eye and bill are sharp...just need to open up the mid-tones...a nice catch...looking forward to your next one kathy...good show...

Hi Kathy:

Maybe a tad underexposed for most folks? However, I like the capture very much, the details and the way you captured the water drops and motion . . . . and the food chain.

Very well done.

Many thanks for sharing

I'm with Uncle Gus on this one, I rather like the exposure, different and interesting feel.

I wonder what just lightening head area a bit would look like? Sorta enhancing the light/shadow effect?

Kathy..like the extra space in your re-post

I sort of like the original post, it has a special feel. These guys can take in so much light than the water around them can look on the dark side !!!

Cropping wise is on the tight side but I think it also works here, could even go tighter an zero in on the bird's expression. Keep after the pelicans, not easy birds and you have come up with some keepers. !!! btw when out photographing I always like to go for best available !!!

HI Kathy - I do like both - needs a little more space - feels a tad tight especially bottom and rhs.

Looking forward to more :)

i like the original. the tightness gives it the chaotic feel that the moment deserves! and i like the exposure of the first one too. nice job!!

Al - this is the way I wanted to crop it---even if it did cut off the wings. I usually want to crop too close and make them too dark. I also tried Nonda's suggestion about the light.

Kathy, its nice that I have the benefit of seeing all three versions and comments---I like your last version because it brings you right to the action. I think it is dramatic.

Kathy, I like your last version best. It really emphasizes the action!

Your third post is the one for me. Very dramatic and the colors are stunning.
