Following the comments I received on yesterday's post, I decided to post this image of a pine siskin on a natural perch. Although the environment is better in this one, I prefer the pose of yesterday's bird because it emphasizes the yellow feathers on its wings(?). I will be experimenting with more natural perches and will try to get some better poses in the future.

I like the details and eye contact, the perch is definitely better. I would try to remove the color noise in the BG. If you experiment with different perches, you could choose one that is a bit smaller in diameter to complement the size of the bird better.

Nice pose and detail. I'd mask the sharpening off the perch.

Nice shot, I agree that a smaller perch would compliment the bird better.
There is a bit of noise in the BG that can easily be dealt with and it's not much anyways.
I would be inclined to trim a bit off the top but maybe that's just me.

My only suggestion would be the perch size, but otherwise the image is great. Nicely captured. Razor sharp and fine details! :)

I much prefer the natural perch, and I agree with the above suggestions on how to get an even stronger image.

I like the pose here and the sharpness. The perch is natural just a bit too large for the bird.
