Doug, Love the Look and the color plus a great BG. Might try a bit more USM around the head. Bob

I like the pose and setting and agree regarding more sharpening. I find the bird a bit tight in the frame. Keep them coming.

Agree for sharpening, and for more room (especially top, bottom, and left). Love the "perch" and BG...the blue hues serve as a nice backdrop to the subject.

Thanks for the comments and help everyone. I have many more photos of this bird, including some wider views which I'll post sometime.

I have been having trouble saving for web and keeping the image sharp. Here is a version with some sharpening after compression. For anyone still checking, let me know if this looks sharp enough (even more? too much? or that'll do)

Thanks again

The repost is really nice, I like your colors. The deep blue sets off the muted tones of the sandpiper beautifully.

A bit tight in the frame for may taste but the light and sharpness are both fantastic. The BG is OOF but with some sharpness areas that allow the observer to see the habitat details and I like it. Wellcome on board and I hope to see more of your work here :-)

Wow, the repost really shines! I love the spotlight effect on the bird and the great details that you've captured (I've never seen this species). Very nice Doug!
