Beautiful picture, composition and colors. Just missing a few white clouds in the sky.

Adrian,

Simple and very effective. I like the crop but some different things to try would be cropping at the bottom above the brown patch just above you name. Another is removing the large expanse of sky though personally I like that as it says COLD to me and enhances that feeling in the image. One of those clear, cold winter days.

The frost on the trees is well exposed.

Thanks for posting.

Hi Adrian,
This looks like the tree from your earlier post but isolated very nicely. Yeah......clouds would add even more but may also not allow the tree to stand out enough compositionally. I looked at Robert's crop suggestion also....i do like that one also......but am partial to the way you have it presented here. Very nicely done!

A simple yet very effective image Adrian. I like the crop that you've chosen though I can see the merits of Robert's "off the bottom" recommendation as well. The expanse of sky above the tree helps tell the story so please don't lose too much of that if you change things around.

What a beautiful capture. If you're inclined to play around in Photoshop, darkening the sky with a gradient could pop the tree out a bit more dramatically.
