This young gun seemed anxious about me being on his turf, and after ten minutes or so I saw why as a cow emerged from the vegetation seen behind him in this image. He soon realized I was no threat, and slid into the same grassy area as his couterpart.

Captured near the shore of Bear Lake in northern Utah...

Nice wide-eyed look from this guy John. I like the colors of the BG foilage and how the dip in the back lines up with the dip in the BG and FG shrubs/grasses.

You captured him good in the pleasing environment John. I agree with the burning in of the bottom.

You got a colourful background. I think that improves the image. I like the eye contact. A higher f stop say f8 would have also helped. Since the shutter speed was 1/160, I would have tried bumping up the ISO.
