probably your best yet mike - bird just needs a little more sharpening. And some work on the BG some rough spots were you have replaced the BG.

Hey Mike, I agree with Lance; it's the best I've seen from you. Bird looks good overall. I took the liberty to adjust the levels and sharpened the photo a bit. Glad to see you used a faster shutter speed this time :)
Congrats !!

hi Lance and Desmond.
thanks for taking the time to look at my work and the nice comments.
the only thing i didn't like aabout your rendition of this bird is that you blew out the highlights on the neck and shoulder. i do like it sharper though, and i like the way the light plays on the tree trunk. i don't know if you were trying to do this, but i like it.

Well composed Mike,
I like the colors and details on the bird...you have a good head angle and good eye contact. I like the clean background...Desmond's repost takes it over the top...good show...:cool:

What do the RGB numbers tell you?
Hmmm...now I know why your photos usually look dark to me :)

Hi Mike;
I agree that it is your best shot so far. Desmond's repost takes it to great, don't think anything is blown on my monitor.
Thanks for sharing.

Far and away your best effort Mike! The bird looks great! Desmond's repost improves on an already solid image. For future reference, f/7.1 or f/8 would have sufficed and bought you a little more shutter speed.
