While sitting in my blind, waiting for a kingfisher to photograph[didn't happen]I heard a sound comming from the right side of my blind. I peek out and saw a heron just landing on the railing of my foot bridge. The heron was about 60 degrees to the right of where my lens was pointing, but I manage to carefully swing it around until I had the heron in my view finder. The heron, in time, started to preen, which gave me the opportunity to get several very interesting images, which for me, saved the day. Here is one of those images. Enjoy?
