This Kestrel was taken at Okeeheelee Park with a Canon MK-III.
ISO = 400at f/8 - 1/1600th. of a sec. - 500-MM-f.4-L with a +0.3 Ec.

All comments and visits greatly appreciated.

Very cool pose and eye contact. I might put him a bit further left in the frame and increase contrast and saturation a few points. Something like this maybe.

Wow, Bill, great job capturing this speedy bird. Axel has a couple great ideas...I sure would be happy to have this image as my own.

Very good job on this one Bill. Fantastico pose and very good head turn. I like Axels´s sugestions about composition

Bill, You are getting better and better. Way to go. Axel's repost is a big improvement; the crop from the back was mandatory. We almost always want less space behind the bird than in front of it. Love the wing position and the trailing feet. Though I wish that it were mine, I humbly disagree with Juan in that the head is turned a bit too far away from you and thus is not as well lit as the rest of the bird. All that you had to do was press the shutter button 1/2 second soooner! <smile>

I love the banking pose Bill. Axel's repost has improved the appeal 100-fold. Amazing how a small tweak can have such a huge effect!
