I recently upgraded from an Olympus E-510 + 50-200mm EC14 combo to a Canon 50D + 400mm f5.6 to support my birding enthusiasm.

This was a huge upgrade! The extremely fast AF and excellent DR was very evident with a clear sky and bright sunlight. Also, the ability to crop and much higher FPS make the experience much better.

I love my new Canon, but rather than rave about the camera any more, I'll post some images. =)

Welcome to BPN and nice first post. I like the details in this image. Please have a look at the posting guidelines, only one image per post and not longer than 1024 pixels horizontally and 800 vertically. In this case you could just crop the image to the dimensions above since the bird is relatively small in the frame. Keep them coming!

Wellcome on board. Glad to hear that you are enjoying the new toy ;-) Keep them coming and do not forget to post the basic technical details of the image (ISO, shutter speed, f-stop...)
