Hi Sid,

Simply beautiful. The golden BG, the pose and flash exposure makes this one for me. One of your best using flash for sure!

Take care!

Lovely warm colours, Sid. Flash working well. Would suggest some corrective work on the eye of the bird on the right and maybe burn in the base of the nest as this is the area that looks most flashed. What is your working distance and ISO here? At 1/1000sec you must be using FP flash and at f8 the distance it will reach is small hence your +2.7 flash exp comp.

Tony,
thanks for your time and suggestions. I guess nest is over flashed. I need to work on this.

Distance to nest was around 35 to 40 feet. I used ISO 800 to freeze action. Still reading on flash and not sure how to use if properly. Mostly hitting with full power to cover the distance.

What a pose Sid. Was this a recent shot? I seem to always miss these behavior shots. Congrats

Sid, my very favorite of your ever, fantastic colors and flash handled pretty well. Big congrats!
It was great to see you last night. I have the worst mosquito bites of my life, they got under my clothes :(

Great flashwork, and I like the colours in this. Lovely interaction captured in this, together with the courting outspread wings. The only nit I have with flashwork is sometimes it affects the eye in the image. Still, well captured Sid

Very cool moment captured. I also like the setting and details. Maybe it is a bit overflashed.

Outstanding image Sid. I like it a lot. Fantastic, almost surrealistic, atmosphere and superb timing. Big congratulations!
