I found this guy making noise while I was walking my dog today. I had my camera but did not take 400mm F5.6 L with me. But I think my cheap but very good 55-250mm IS did it's job quite well.

Nice light and pose with some good detail in the blacks. Might prefer a little more space around the bird and I would remove the little bright spot lower right. Interesting to see a very prominent dark iris spot like we often see in Oystercatchers. You caught some good action in the second shot with those flying wood chips - hope he found some food!

Nice find and pose. Good overall sharpness and details in the blacks. I might crop the first shot to a vertical to eliminate the cement? in the LR. Iwould also tone down the perch.
