Hi to all

I hope everyone is having a Happy New Year!

Here is a shot from Dec. I don't have a clue on the ID, but I am looking for a good field guide on caterpillar.

Hey Aristotle, sorry I can't help on the ID. I'm at my wife's school helping her take down the christmas stuff and I'm viewing this on the classroom computers and the LCDs are not very good so it might be a screen issue but the very top white flower look way to hot. Like the comp and BG.

Although it doesn't look too hot on this screen, I'd still tone it down a bit to leave the caterpillar as the main attraction. Great focus and placement on this caterpillar.

I agree with Bruce...it doesn't look hot so much as it's just lost detail from being OOF. Abracadabra...poof, it's gone!

(Sorry, I'm in a silly mood. Freezing to death will do that to a person...)

Looks like you got a baby caterpillar down below it as well! Cool! I mean hot! I mean...nevermind. :(

The white puff in the original does seem to compete with the caterpillar for my attention. So I do prefer Julie's redo.

Very interesting looking caterpillar.
