Hi
We have a few pairs of these birds that inhabit the scrub areas behind the local sand dunes. The males are usually quite approachable compared to most UK birds and I love their call that sounds like two pebbles being tapped together, from which they presumably get their name.

I like this image, only thing I would try is cropping or cloning out the twig on the right, that said the composition does work well. :)

Rich,
An excellent composition! Great exposure and a nice soft background. As Pete suggested, cloning out the twig on the RHS will improve the presentation. You have created a beautiful piece of art. Thanks for sharing...

I love this but definitely go along with losing the twig on the right

A terrific composition. Beautiful BG. Can't make my mind up regarding the twig on the right, but the 'chat is spot on.

Thanks for the comments. I couldn't decide about the twig on the right. I left it in as I thought it added some balance to the composition. However, popular opinion is that is should go which is easily done.
Cheers
