Well handled with the obviously difficutl lighting. Great pose. I would like to have seen a bit more room behind the tail. The light BG is a bit troublesome but not horrible by any means.

Certainly very cute! I agree with Robert's points: it is a great pose, but the tail deserves some more room. The background does leave something to be desired because it is not uniform. I think that some lightening of the head of the ground squirrel would help him "pop" a little bit against that background, and you might consider cropping in from the right. Artie's mantra, and one that I've adopted for myself, is "cut, don't clip." You've clipped the tail a little bit, so you might as well make it more of a deliberate cut.
