Don't know the ID of this fellow - it's about 8 to 10 mm long excluding the antennae and it prefers to stay on the blooms and leaves of a local squash plant.

20D + 100 2.8 macro
f/10, 1/50 sec, ISO 400, manual focus, manual exposure, tripod/geared head, on-board flash at -1.33 FEC
RAW, levels/contrast adjustment, selective sharpening, NR on OOF areas

Excellent photograph--tack sharp, clean background, balanced foreground/background exposure and pleasing composition. Speaking as a insect person, I like it! Very well done since these types of captures are not as easy as they look.

Loads of impact here Romy. I like the diagonal composition and the unidentified insect balancing on the leaf edge - great BG. There appear to be yellow eggs adhearing to its body. Well seen and taken!!
