Hi Guys,

This is my first good birdpicture! I know, itīs not perfect, but I but I photographed only for two weeks and Iīm only 12 years old, so I havnīt got any money for Photo courses.:( I waited three days for good light to take some pictures with my new camera that I got at Christmas. Today we had perfect winter weather, very cold and clear air.

Hi Titus,
Swans are among my favourite bird to shoot. It looks like you have the focus on the tip of the bill. Also I have found through critiques in the ETL (Eager to Learn Section) that it helps to lighten the eye as there is quite a bit of detail in it. In this shot I didn't do too much, but in others I have lightened the eye which revealed a pupil. Also some of your bird is in shadow. It would help if the light was coming from behind you to eliminate the shadows. Hope to see more from you of these lovely birds.
