I think, for me this is the best pose for the Painted Bunting, it shows his back as well as some of his chest. If I place the mini feeder away from the camera it makes the bird stand with their back toward the camera. Placing the feeder toward the camera has the opposite effect. Center the feeder and the bird will stand sideways. I hope I'm not boring anyone with all the Painted Buntings but I still have some residual effects from my pneumonia this summer and since their in the back yard it pretty easy to find them, seems I'm having a rough time getting back into the field.
