Good evening! I'm just trying something new for me here! This is a shot I took sometime ago and my first impulse was to trash it but somehow I kept it. Now I've seen you guys taking beautiful silhouettes against the sunset or dawn so I thought it MIGHT work. I really like the how clear the shape of the bird is, meaning you would know it a cormorant, and also the wing position.

Just an overcast day and I played with the back ground using color control point on NX2.

So!? Was it worse doing it? Thank you for your comments! Cheers!

Very simple and attractive image. Not sure about the hint of far wing that we can see.

Glad you didn't trash this image! I love the silhouette. Until I read Doug's comment, I wouldn't have thought of the far wing. You could perhaps clone it totally out and no one would even know. :)

Very nice silhouette and BG color. I only wish the far wing were down, too.
