I photographed this at Longwood Gardens (in Penn) this summer. Just a wonderful place to shoot.

Dave, I really like this- I like the veins they almost look like you did a liquified effect on them-like the diagonal also- very interesting!!

Hey Dave, great subject. Backlighting really makes this pop. Good diagonal lines and the look of motion from the swirls in the green area works well. Good sharp details. Well done.

Beautiful patterns, composition and light in this image! Do you remember what type of leaf it was? Just curious. I shoot at Longwood Gardens frequently.

Very nice diagonal composition Dave...I like the liquefied flow on the leaf, and the bold saturated hues of green and yellow...

Love that swirling motion of the green part of the leaf, Dave. This is really beautiful. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a tad more sharpening but that might be my old eyes...

Hi Anita...No I never noted the species (it was outside of the Arborateum but not far from it) since there wasn't a tag or sign. After a few hours of shooting I was sitting on a bench and I noticed this very large leaf and from where I was sitting I saw how stunning it was backlit. Sorry I can't be more help than that.

WOW great shot with a lot to like. Love the bright green and yellows, excellent pattern and texture to this leaf.

Well done!
