As I said, a white rose means purity and innocence. You've seen my interpretation of "Purity". This is my much softer interpretation of "Innocence". I did an 11 x 14 crop here for those of you who prefer a rectangular presentation.

Canon 30D w/ remote shutter release; Sigma 150mm Macro lens; Canon 430EX Flash w/LumiQuest Lightbox mounted on a flexible bracket; 60W incandescent lamp; Manfrotto tripod and ballhead w/ Novoflex focusing rail.

1/250 sec @ f/3.2; ISO 800; 0 EV; AWB; FEC -1

Ed, you are taking some amazing photographs! I love that most of this image just disappears...it leaves your mind filling in the blanks. The blue tinge against the golden center really works for me. My one obstacle to calling this perfect is the yellow area on the left side. I would consider cloning that to the white so the center of the flower takes center stage.

Ed, this really is lovely. I could see this in a 36"x48" hanging over someone's fireplace.
