1/1000th. of a sec. 100-400 - L at 400MM.

All C/C's very welcome and hoping all had a wonderful holiday.

Nice shot, though if possible I would have pulled back a bit more to get the full rings. Also, the drop of water just on the reflection of the head is distracting.

A very good try though

I like the fluffed up feathers. Sharpness and eye contact are good. But the angle is steep. I might crop a little off the bottom.

This is the repost of the grebe and taken some off the bottom as suggested.

I like the fluffed-up plumage and eye contact. I wish for a lower angle. The repost looks better but maybe a tad more space at the bottom.

Soo cute! For me I would have loved this froma lower angle. I understand it's not always possible though.

Especially where the photography takes place, it's a wildlife refuge with a boardwalk so it is what it is, and thank you so much for your comment.

Tell me how you can win Doug, Axel says more room at the bottom and you said less where di I go wrong, and thanks for the comment and the suggestion.

Hi Bill. I would have cropped just below the reflection of the bird at the bottom of the image. And I would have left the top of the image unchanged. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner!
