Marsh Wren with snowy BG. Shot today with a handheld Nikon D200, 80-400mmVR Nikkor lens at 400mm, f8, 1/1000 sec, Manual exp mode based on metering of blue northern ski +1.33 (Oops, I wanted +.33), no flash. PP in CS3, cropped about 50% QM'ed out a couple small branches, selectively sharpened with NIK Sharpener Pro, noise reduction on BG with Noise Ninja. C&C welcome.

A little beauty..classic pose...There seems to be a remnant of something under the bird's belly, at bottom of frame....great capture, sharpness, these birds are tough..did you call him in? Happy Holidays and thanks for all you help this year. Paul

cool pose dan and the exposure looks good. only wish for a little better head angle. not feeling much connection with the bird.

Cool pose and details, it just needs a bit more head turn toward you. I find the OOF branch a bit distracting.

Definitely clone out that OOF branch. I agree that a better head turn would have strengthened this image but I have yet to do better than this with a tiny wren so my hat is off to you.
