Taken about 2 miles from my house where the sheep are abundant this time of year. The background, I think, makes this photo work. Thanks to Dale Franz for pointing out this shot.

Nice work Mike. Besides the BG, the grass in the mouth is a nice addition and I like the grass in the LL. Nice tilt to the head too goes with that grass in the mouth.

Ah just being an old shutter monkey I just must of accidently pointed this way when scratching myself ;) Fine capture here Mike. Like the grass in the mouth and the fine BG. Good ram also...

His eye is almost saying "the grass in my mouth is whacky tobacky". I love the eyeball.

Awesome portrait Mike . Love the touch of grass in the foreground and the one blade of grass in the mouth makes this image for me. Lovely work Mike and a real pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet you and your lovely wife !!!!

Mike,

Sweet image. Perhaps, if it were looking a touch more to its left it would have even more impact. Well done.

Best,

Chas

Mike,
Good work. The background works for me. The grass in the mouth is a bonus. The battle scarred horns, snow in its face give a nice look. I like the inclusion of the grass at the bottom of the frame.
Cheers,

Wonderful portrait in which you managed to get some habitat in. Love the BG and the light. Judging by the rings on the horns, this one has a lot of experience :)

Now this has some serious personality going on here! Looks like he is 'mr. cool'... Great composition with the grass in the lower lefthand corner, and BG is really nice.
