sel. Iced Teasel! :) I know I've said it before but Teasel is one of my favorite wildflowers. I really enjoy photographing them through the seasons. Here's an image from this morning after yesterday's snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Hey Ed,
Nice angle and BG. The snow adds a nice contrast with the frozen? drops adding to the overall feel. Nicely done.

Nice muted backround with the Teasel placed diagonally. Subject is sharp with the ice adding interest. Good job Ed.

I, too, enjoy teasels! They are wonderful in all seasons. Nice image. I like its simplicity, background, composition.

Another winner, Ed! You got great DOF at f5.6 and a wonderful OOF BG to go with it. The crystals and the teasel itself have wonderful definition and you did a great job of exposing with all that ice around.

If you want a super picky suggestion I'd tone down the one slightly lighter spot to the top and right of the teasel as well as the tiny area down at the base of the stem. That's all I got...the rest is teaselriffic!

Hey Ed, this is also one of my favs in the plant world, I don't shoot alot because of the lack of color, which doesn't sell well for me. I like your comp here running it on the diagonal, good details and the ice really adds a nice touch. Well done Ed.

Too many good critiques above for me to add anything substantive so I will just say that you had just the right d-o-f and a loverly COMP.
