The black-backed jackal is much hated by small-stock farmers. Its intelligence is legendary, and despite centuries of warfare against it, is still thriving in most parts of South Africa. I like the wily expression in this guy's eyes:) The image was captured in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in the Northern Cape province of South Africa, where the lack of persecution has made the jackals confiding and easy to photograph.

Good picture with a lot of details and and a good light.

For me, the best Park in South Africa.

I have simalar images from my trip to Kgalagadi . II've looked at the reflection closely and thought I might like to see a bit more of it but I think it works well as is. Very nice light... Well done.

A stunner Chris. Love the light reflected onto the face. A little more reflection could make it even better!
