I had just taken off the TC and forgot to open up more; if for no other reason for the shutter speed. Guess the low light (just before sun rose from clouds on horizon) and Gitzo saved me as far as the close BG and sharpness.

I like the color/light of this one. Kind of a peak into a secluded area look. The little bluish opening in the green below his chest/beak is drawing my eye a bit.

Beautiful eye contact and I like the raised head feathers in this image. I agree a tad more room on the right would strengthen this capture and the lower angle was mentioned. Many thanks for sharing David.
