I have seen quite a few greylag-canada goose hybrids and other strange coloured greylag geese this fall.

However this is the most severe mutation I have seen - ever: :p

OK,... maybe not - but I liked the funny effect of their relative position and wingbeats.:p

Greylag geese (Anser anser), photo taken this autumn by lake Roxen, Sweden.

Cheers, Jens.

PS. Since Artie moved this to "Out of the Box": This is an authentic photo. The two geese happened to be in that position when the shutter released. I have however, removed a third goose flying just ahead of these two.

Hi Jebir, Welcome. And well done. I have moved your creation to the Out of the Box Forum.

Apologies to Jens. I assumed that this was a digital composite. Jens then pointed out that it was not, and that is simply featured two birds flying in close proximity to each other. Sorry for the error.

ps: No wonder the "bird's" body looked cockeyed....

Thanks Artie,

I'm glad to see the mutant back in the "Wild..." category. Admittedly, I could have been more clear about what the image shows in the OP but didn't think that far when I posted it.

Cheers, Jens.
