Late Morning Bonus....

Another one of those surprises off the main road through the everglades after a morning of birding. This was really at the end of the good morning light on a clear morning. Imaged from the car handheld (reason for ISO 400). I would have liked to have moved left to be more in line with the sun but there was another branch from this dead snag interfering. The perch was really what drew me to this one. Is it too dominant in the frame?

You did well in the harsh light. I like the perch but for the branch behind and below the bird and the pointy section pointing at the subject's tail.

Love the perch but I would lop off some of those huge bottom branches. Otherwise very good job for the harsh light. Nice and sharp.

With images like this I always increase the contrast and warm up the browns in the images. The high sun tends to wash out the colors.
