Taken this past Wednesday about a half hour before sunset. Some branches were cloned out.

Oh my, what a lovely image. Love the raised wings and the killer light.

Was this image created in a baiting situation?

Wow! very nice. I love the pose and composition. The raised wings and eyes are great. Killer image.
This may be a stupid questions but, what is the metallic looking object protruding inder the branch just behind the feet?

Regards,

Phil

Oh jeez.. this rocks! Pose is awesome, light is stunning... no shadows and a wonderfull blue sky....

Dont forget to post that exif data!

I would also be interested to see what branches were cloned out, as they look to be covered in ice? And I wonder if leaving a few of them in would have worked! (but I really have no idea, since I dont know what the origional looked like)..

Thanks for sharing! This is really sweet

Thanks Rick. (I have no problem with baiting the owls as long as it is done away from the roads to ensure no hit by car owls.) We do ask here at BPN that folks disclose any and all set-up situations (when they post the image) so thanks again for you honesty and your response.
