Hi,
on our second round through the Ding Darling NWR we noticed this cute little bird at mile 3.5. Anyone sure could help me with the ID :o...

Hi Peter,
This is a Juvi Black crown night heron.
I like the low angle and eye contact, it would be nice if you had a little more room behind the bird.

It is definitely a Juvi Night Heron, but I think it's a Yellow Crown, not a Black Crown. The yellow eyes are what make me think this. Black Crowns have red eyes.

For working in a rather cluttered setting you did quite well. Sharp, and I like the image design including the o-o-f strip at the bottom. Great pose, body and head angle. All in all, very well done.
