That's BIG BIRD. :) Wow haven't seen one of those in a long while. I heard there were only 100 or so in '05. Nice find with all 108" of wing span on display. Now I'm just curious, was this taken with a 340mm EFL or a 510mm EFL?

I think the EFL would be about 544mm with this set up. The dot above the number on the bird indicates +100. I've heard that they are tagging birds in the 300's now.

Getting the underneath side of the wingspread is certainly different....and educational with the tag and number clearly showing. Exposure and detail are good. Perhaps just a tad more USM but otherwise well done.

The math would say 200x1.5 crop=300x1.7TC=510mm EFL. Iwas just curious how close you were to the bird for this shot. I usually don't even include that spec. EV Comp, if used, is a good one to know. Thanks for the extra data. It's good to see them making a comeback.

Sorry, I was using my old Canon multiplication factor of 1.6.
