Tried to identify this guy from a birds of Florida field guide book but could not find him. Last week at Anhinga trail on a very windy day.

Nikon D300, 300mm 2.8 w/2x tc, Focal length 600mm, F5.6, 1/1600, ISO 400, Aperture Priority, Exposure Comp +2/3 Tripod used.

Well done Mr. O
I like the bird placement in frame. The perch is delicate but sweet. I like the color rendition and the baby blue sky...the feathers have a silky smooth feel to them...I like it...good show. Head angle and eye contact are dead on...congrats...

Hi,

I believe it's an Eastern Phoebe. To me the body and to a lesser extent the rest of the bird looks a little too soft - slightly out of focus, or some camera shake, and I would have preferred a sharper image. I agree that the pose and lighting are very pleasing.

Hey Oscar, Great comp!! Love the colors and BG. A little too soft for me, but a really nice feel.

love the compostion!! just perfect for me. looks like you left the bird covered with some NR? causing the softness to the bird? still nice, nonetheless in that soft light. nicely done!
