Well I was sitting by the river this afternoon when this guy near landed on me.......
Original was under exposed by nearly 2 stops... exposure adjusted in Capture NX some S/H added and some NR.

Ha is all wrong and steep angle - like the wings..... but what really amazed me was 2 stops under and it didn't come out any were near as bad as thought it would.

Well, Lance, you use a D3, which has a good dynamic range ("It's not quite Fujifilm S5 Pro level, but with careful processing it's not far off." per dpreview.com) :D:D

Good colors and the color gradation looks very good. But that's kind of typical of many of your shots I've seen.

Hi Lance,
I like the flight capture here. I like the raised wings and the semi turned body. The whites are in check. Almost high key. well done my friend...I'm not looking at the head angle...:D this was an exercise in color reproduction and you did well...

Great recovery job in PP and no evidence of noise to my eye.

I like it a lot and sure got a lot in PS !!!

Remember you need to over exposed these type images I go as high a 2 2/3 for some of them When checking the histogram just look at the bird, all else will be blown !!!
